Had a spare half hour yesterday so had a look at a couple of scouse forums to see what they were saying… I’ll be honest there was as many Anti Royalists on here as there was on their boards… which surprised me… in fact there was far more `respect’ on there than been displayed on here… big big surprise… but I agree with Manny… we are obsessed with Scouse … well when I say we… I meant Sven…

They could instantly resolve any potential fixture congestion by dropping all the games where the Big 6 are involved & simply give them the points instead.
That will leave the other 14 to challenge for the one remaining European spot in the league.

None taken, plank
Liverpool fans have been very open about booing the Royal family at the two Wembley finals last season when Prince William attended as FA President. Nothing to suggest their home game v Wolves would have been any different. I expect every other Premier league ground would have seen scenes similar to the response at the London Stadium last Thursday night.

A bit of honesty wouldnt go amiss here. If the majority of Liverpool fans are so anti monarchy (why) then the club should announce that they will not be participating in any act of rememberance and there will be no official mention of the queens passing at Anfield.
Just play the game as if nothing has happened, surely that is the thing to do?

I suspect some are right when they say some of the decision on next weekends Premier league will be dependent on Scouse behaviour at the Anfield game tomorrow v Ajax To be honest I suspect that the policing requirements for the crowds expected in London which might mean borrowing officers from regional forces will see all the Premier league games off. Easy get out for the PL rather than admitting its trying to avoid Scouser scenes.

How will we all survive without being blasted with adverts dotted all over the screen during the games we pay to watch?
Without "a word from our sponsor" I truly fear for the civilised world.

I expect only the London games will be cancelled or moved. 2 PL games are on Friday Can't see Chelsea v Liverpool being on. But the Met have said they can. Teams pay for the police to attend. They could stop Liverpool fans from attending. UEFA HAve authorised away fans to Not attend at Rangers v Napoli That would make sense. We would all be happy with a lack of scousers in the capital

Eton has been condemned for playing two football matches in defiance of the postponement of all fixtures as a mark of respect following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
Britain’s most famous public school, which has had long-standing links with the royal family, played host to Rossall School just hours after games from the Premier League right down to grass-roots level were called off.
Photographs from Saturday’s matches emerged in a Twitter post from @RossallSport, which showed minute’s silences taking place before they kicked off in honour of the country’s longest-reigning monarch.
The post was later deleted, as was a prior one on both Facebook and Twitter recording a visit by Rossall’s footballers to Windsor Castle en route to nearby Eton.
Among those to raise the alarm was Peter Daly, who runs men’s football team Talking Toffees FC and an associated podcast.
He told Telegraph Sport: “Whilst kids up and down the country were unable to play football this weekend, it seems the same rules don’t apply for Eton.
“It’s the latest example of how the privileged have complete disregard for the rules we’re all supposed to follow.”

Sorry about your dog but the Queen died on Thursday and am sure she'd have wanted HER Hammers playing today rather than people moping about in a darkened room.
The death of the Queen of course puts the Republic of Australia back on the agenda. The relatively new Labour government have said a referendum wont happen in their first 3 year term and seems to sit behind their plan to have an Indigenous Voice in Parliament that was such an ANATHEMA to the dismal shower that was the previous government.

For all sports to continue except for football just won't make any sense, albeit I concede they require the largest police presence, but I cannot believe that a multi billion pound business will be postponed again, and in the process pissing of thousands of fans (even if you don't mind) just because a very small minority may not respect the two minutes silence.
